We are called the ECadudes!!
At Southdown we are members of the ECadet scheme. We have over 20 children from Year one to six, who are taking a lead in Online Safety within school.
They will be working very closely with other E Cadets from our local primary schools to develop an E Safety checklist to keep pupils safe online!

Our children took part in the Welsh Assembly Online Safety Consultation in association with the NSPCC - 'Make Your Space Safe, Make Your Voice Heard!'

The outcome of our consultation with Young People/E Cadets across our Consortium of Schools!
All our E Cadudes came together with E Cadets from our consortium of schools (The Elfed, The Argoed, Mynydd Isa, Westwood, Mountain Lane and Drury) to discuss what they like and dislike about the Internet and Social Media.
Moving forward we will be developing an agreed Online Safety checklist to keep children and young people safe online.
We will also be gathering the views of all Young People and children across our school, through developing a questionnaire through Microsoft Forms.
