During this term, our topics are:

The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. 🦁

We have had lots of fun so far learning about C.S. Lewis' classic 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe'. As part of the topic, we have been learning about the author, food chains, life cycles and habitats. We have also enjoyed exploring the weather as part of the topic! Take a look at some of our fabulous work:

Flipped learning videos, which can be accessed on your child's class dojo.

Reading

Reading is so important and we ask that you try and read

as often ask you can with your child at home.

Each time your child reads at home and have a comment in their

reading record they will receive a Dojo point!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spellings

A spelling list will go home with your child once a week.  It will go home on a Friday and they will be tested on the same day the following week.  It is important that your child learns their spellings and completes the attached activity sheet, which will always consist of handwriting practice and an additional activity.

Class Dojo

ClassDojo is a website that we use in a variety of ways.

You can access it online or by downloading an app.

Each child has their own avatar and they earn points for different things e.g. working hard, reading at home, good manners etc. If they earn 10 points or more in a week they will earn a merit point!

We post information for parents of our individual classes as a Class Story.

We can also send individual messages to parents

if we need to send a quick reminder or message about something.
